I discovered Sophie reading her articles. I needed someone to help me organize my thinking, to make me understand what is normality. I felt that I was like a bomb ready to explode. I needed a psychologist with more of a modern type of approach, with life experience and wisdom to help me structure my thoughts.
Someone with inclination towards spirituality….because I had many existential issues and it was clear to me that I needed someone to integrate into a unified vision the psychological, spiritual and same time practical aspects of my complicated life.
When we first talked, I explained to her that I needed some methods to help me get over my anxieties. I didn’t want to spend an hour just complaining about my life. This is what happened with my first therapist – he was just repeating what I had just said asking me ” And how did you felt in this situation?” !!?! I wanted interaction, feedback, someone to help me figure out what’s happening with me.
Online counseling delivered a lot more than face to face therapy because what mattered the most was the mental chemistry and the real progress I saw in my life.
Sophie helped me tremendously to get over a pretty confused phase of my life. I was impressed by the maturity, sensitivity, UNDERSTANDING, the way she explained how I function, why do I have certain attitudes, thoughts, what do I have to change. For approximately 12 years I have been in and out of therapy with varying degrees of success.
